Usually music is explained as the art to make phenomena be in order of time, there are frequencies as in cardinal number and actions to play, to dance or to create experience as in ordinal number.

The essential mechanism to generate perception (frequencies) and dimension (action) is below in case of Western music.

Fig.1 is effective to consider the difference of the equal temperament especially Piano and the just intonation especially Violin. The frequencies and the dimensions appear differently via perception and action (see fig.2.1 and 2.2).
